Precipitator Users Group
Precipitator Users' Group (PUG) is an interactive learning event for engineers, technicians, process owners and plant-level personnel whose jobs depend on knowing how to operate, maintain and troubleshoot electrostatic precipitators (ESPs).
PUG is a practical, hands-on learning experience that results in immediate payoff when you return to your plant. You'll spend the first half of the workshop learning about precipitator system technologies and maintenance and trouble-shooting techniques. Then, you will be assigned to a team with other attendees and given a real-world case study about a sub-performing precipitator. Your team will apply the troubleshooting techniques learned during the first part of the workshop to diagnose problems with the precipitator and create an outage plan to improve performance.

Process Improvement Through Air Flow Optimization
This special learning event is a practical forum geared toward managers at plants that transitioned (or are transitioning) from base-load to swing-load operation. These plants have experienced challenges with combustion, heat rate, and emissions. Attendees will learn about possibilities that exist for mitigating those challenges through air flow optimization and other improvement opportunities. |

Facilitating a Team Approach to Planning for Regulatory Compliance
This learning event is a practical forum geared toward managers at power utilities and industrial plants who are exploring options for environmental regulation compliance. Attendees will learn best practices for creating plans by getting the right people together, with the right information, and asking the right questions.
Planning for the future of electrical utility facilities and industrial plants sometimes feels impossible when there are so many moving-target variables to consider. We believe that a team approach to planning, using a foundation of linked baseline data and a clear set of goals, makes it possible to develop and implement the best solution for the current situation.
During this workshop, a panel of experts from Neundorfer, Storm Inc., United Dynamics Corp. and David N. French Metallurgists will present sessions and lead small group exercises. You'll take away techniques and questions for planning, evaluating and implementing proposed regulatory compliance solutions. These tools will help you make the best possible decisions through more effective conversations with internal and external stakeholders.
