Baghouse (Fabric Filter) Workshop: Optimizing Performance and Reliability - Cedar Rapids IA

July 19, 2012
Cedar Rapids, IA
Managers, planners and plant-level personnel who are interested in improving their understanding of baghouse operation and identifying opportunities to optimize performance, prioritize maintenance activities, and reduce costs.

Learning Experience

As demands increase on plants to reduce emissions, operate more flexibly and reduce costs, sharing knowledge improves your understanding of baghouses and the opportunities they present to help you achieve your goals.

This one day, consultative workshop—for managers, planners and plant-level personnel—is facilitated in a collaborative format focused on active learning. Using data from your facility to address real-world baghouse problems, you’ll improve your understanding of baghouse operation and develop an action plan while identifying opportunities to optimize performance, prioritize maintenance, and reduce capital and O&M costs.

Schedule: 7:00am-3:00pm
Meals included: full breakfast and lunch.
Sessions: mix of discussion and group activities.

Please note: Neundorfer is also facilitating a two day electrostatic precipitator workshop the same week in Cedar Rapids. If you sign up for both, you'll get a 15% discount.

Participating in this workshop will help you answer:

  • How do baghouses work and what limits their effectiveness?
  • What factors should we consider when selecting fabric filter bags?
  • What factors influence differential pressure and bag life?
  • How can we most effectively troubleshoot opacity issues?
  • What maintenance and operating practices should we prioritize to optimize baghouse efficiency and reduce costs?
  • How do factors outside the baghouse influence performance, and what can we do about it?
  • What factors should we consider when designing a baghouse?
